The Reading-to-Research Badge (Foundations: K–2) celebrates a child’s first achievements in literacy. Designed in our Pink Desert theme, this badge features an open book set against pastel sands and turquoise skies, symbolizing stories opening pathways to knowledge and imagination via literacy.
What It Represents
Skill Growth- Recognition of letters, sounds, and early sight words.
Student Progression- Serves as the first step toward higher-level reading achievements (Applied 3–6, Bridge 7–12).
Foundations Level (K–2)
Playful, bold curriculum for young readers.
Focused on core literacy skills- phonics, letter recognition, reading simple sentences, and building vocabulary.
Encourages students to see reading as both a daily practice and a gateway to discovering new worlds.

Worn proudly anywhere (e.g., on the right sleeve) as part of the STREAMSS Curriculum Pathway Badge Program.
